DEMOCRAT NO MORE!

Hi folks, I've been busy with the new place post move and work has been crazy but I wanted to let you know how I've been feeling. It's seems that Dean Wormer and I have come to the same conclusion at about the same time. See his excellent post here.

I didn't think we'd get all the progressive stuff we wanted, maybe 50% (and I would have taken even 25%), but to get absolutely NOTHING! It's simply just too much. All the political capital that has been wasted in the last year coddling conservatives, insurance lobbyists and the list goes on.

I'm done with 'em 'cause the Dems really don't give a crap about the folks in their own party. So maybe if I leave it they'll start paying attention. ...Yeah right.

All that hope... and now it's gone...

PS I'm also pissed because Dean is gonna post all his pop and entertainment news on his own blog now 'cause he can't bring himself to talk politics anymore. grrrrr

The President wasn't coddling conservatives, he was coddling radical lunatics. The true conservatives have been betrayed as surely as true liberals.

The President is only the tip of the iceberg. The entire Congress allowed the radical lunatics to set the agenda.

Lunatic is really a misnomer as well, because the two parties are being used by private corporate concerns who place their own power and influence over the national interest.

National defense is the beneficiary or Republican largesse and the medical industrial complex are apparently the recipients of the Democratic deals with the devil.

This bill, without a public option, is an attack on the poor and lower-middle by adding a tax to pay for medical insurance.

When taken in concert with the attack on the charity ACORN and the snide, chiding speech to the NAACP, it is beginning to appear that Obama has disdain for anyone who did not come into money as easily as he did.

That smug, neocon speech before the Nobel committee showed that his award was as misplaced as it was for Henry Kissinger.

It is kind of disgusting really.

I think the head of Faber orchestrated the entire failure of government in order to start posting pop culture stuff at his place.

We have to build a people's movement if we want our voice heard. We have to prove that MLK was right about war being evil and that Obama is wrong about "justified war".

I disagree, but Merry Christmas, Atomic Romance! ;o)

Snab – I agree

Randal – I had thought about that. You notice he never blogs on the weekends

3nino – I might but Italy has so many nice places and such an interesting history I might not.

Lib – I’m not totally anti war per say BUT I am anti-wasting lives for nothing especially when it comes to civilians. The bar should be set very high any Iraq and Afghanistan do not meet that bar in my regards.

Dr. Zaius – Well somebody has to be optimistic, I’m glad it is you Zaius! You keep us going.

Anonymous – thanks, I needed that

We're all doomed. We could all sure use the Green Lantern or Superman or the Hulk right about now.
