Drag Me To Hell

So many good trailers for upcoming movies lately. First "Star Trek" and "Terminator Salvation" now we have the trailer for Sam Raimi's upcoming back-to-basics horror film "Drag Me to Hell." This looks like a cure to the torture porn that's smothering the modern horror genre.

Raimi is best when he's got little studio oversight and can just let his demented mind run wild. I am so there on opening night.

Oh, goodness does that look SWEET!

You know, try as I might, I can't get my term for torture porn films to catch on: "gorenography"

I'm happy to see Columbia Pictures let Raimi out of Spider-Hell long enough to make a different movie (Chris Nolan must have a better agent).

Looks like a cool movie--I also like the fact that the trailer is paced a little more slowly, deliberately, instead of the absurd CUT CUT CUT pace of almost all movie trailers nowadays.

Cool! Wanna see!

Speaking of curses, what's with that clunky player with all the bouncing pop-ups that don't seem to work right?

steve-

yup.

arkonbey-

"gorenography" is perfect!

I hadn't noticed the pacing in the trailer but that's true. That must be why it's so effective.

Moody-

I didn't get any pop-ups on my end. Hmmm. I did try to pick a version of the trailer that wouldn't stall, since it was doing that both at work and at home for me.
