There Are Those...

I wasn't able to finish Moody Mistral's tag so here's a nice Battlestar Galatica remix I found to hold you all over.

That was a fun one. Nice laser and cylon voice sync (mostly).

I've been watching those old episodes lately. Lots of exposition.

Still - Baltar and Adama chew up every scene they're in.

Funny video btw.

Ahh, Battlestar.

I loved that as a kid, but the funny thing is that in an issue of Omni magazine from 79, in the TV section the reviewer complained that he was fed up with an entire season of the same stock shot of Vipers banking to the left.

Vipers banking to the left

Guess the reviewer wasn't a nascar fan :)

Nice mix. I can't wait until April 4th when the new BSG comes back.

Snab – Yeah I thought it would be fun for us old-timers that remember the original show. I miss the old cylons.

Dean – All those shows had too much exposition but what are you gonna’ do. The Baltar character made no sense but John Colicos was such a great actor that he made it work. .

Arkonbey – that is too funny. But yeah they ran out of money for the SFX budget. Remember it got caned because it was too expensive not because it had low ratings.

Pidomon – At least they get to earth…. or they better because there will tons of crazed fans out there including me.

Nice trip down memory lane!

I always liked the ship designs and sets from the old BSG. If only they could come up with some half-decent writers...and have enough of a budget not to have to keep relying on the same stock clips over and over again. (Vipers banking left? Heck, I was sick of the whole launch sequence! And one of my friends griped like crazy because one episode showed the exact same clip of a missile launching over and over again.)

Of course, I've seen all of one episode of the new BSG...

Yeah, I'd love to see that short trailer that Richard Hatch put together with Colicos in it.

Incidentally - one of my favorite episodes in the whole of Star Trek involves all the actors from the 60s that played Klingons reprising their roles on DS9.

Moody – I know what you mean. Sadly they were spending a million buck an episode, which was a huge at that time. The studio thought it was way too expensive. They were stuck, not enough money to do new effects properly and still the show cost too much. That’s why they did the 1980 battlestar because they wanted to reduce the budget. We all know how that worked out.

Dean – I love to see that too. I scouted high and low for it on line but I think for right reasons its never been uploaded. What could have been huh..

That episode was very cool, although I just don’t see a klingon living that long. Heh heh
