Latest Jericho Trailer

The Official CBS Season 2 trailer for Jericho. Looks exciting...

It came out right after Christmas but I guess I was partying too hard at that time to notice.

Jericho: Tuesday February 12

Wow. They are hitting the military angle hard including several things that would probably be permanently grounded from electromagnetic pulse.

Hopefully the plot is a bit fuller than the trailer shows. They should borrow more from The Postman book (not the movie though).

I really want to check this out, but only if it is a B5-type story arc. I know they brought it back (which is cool), I just hope they brought it back to eventually end it.

If it does that, I'm in.

Snab: If the wikipedia article is only as correct as a wiki aritcle, the amount of damage to individual machines due to EMP would depend on lots of factors. Depending on the number of nuclear events, their altitude, powe and proximity to the machines a great deal of things might have survived.

I think...

Snab – Jericho is not a full-scale nuclear war. In the show domestic terrorists take out several major US cities. That attack leads to a fracturing of the federal government and 2nd civil war. The postman book takes place years after a full-scale war, which is a different scenario. That said, the Postman does have a lot of themes that would work very well. Jericho feels like 9-11, hurricane Katrina, and Iraq with a dose of conspiracy all rolled up in one.

Arkonbey – my understanding is that there is an outline of the show. I don’t think it’s as tight as B-5 but they say the have a plan. In fact, the producers had two season finales made, one if the show is popular enough to be continued, and 2 just incase it gets cancelled again. That way they can wrap up the series by showing what was going to happen.
