Never Ever

I was in a store yesterday wandering though the DVD section when a couple passed by me in a hurry to checkout the boxed sets of 24. I guess they were looking for a deal on the latest set. When they noticed that the one they wanted wasn't there they began to walk away dejected and the male of the couple said: "24 is the greatest network show ever... ever"

LOL...

A show that legitimizes torture isn't for me (See here) but most folks are cool with it... sadly.

I just want to point out that there is no truth to the rumor that Keifer Sutherland has a lovechild with a middle name of Riefenstahl.

I've always view "24" as thinly veiled propaganda.

Torture is good for signed "confessions" but is totally ineffective for getting the truth. For the sake of America, it needs to stop now. For shame!

Jeebus, this is the most over-rated show ever. As a show, it's not "horrible"...but as a concept, it's falling right in line w/the whole 9/11 fear mongering in the US right now.

And they say Hollywood is filled only with "left-liberal propaganda.."...right. I think it's filled with whatever schlock will make money.

I think was a not so veiled giant piece of propaganda. It managed to make people think torture is a necessity in order to get the "bad guys".

Oops, my "it" fell out as the third word of my previous comment. Maybe it got stuck in the inter-tubes somewhere. Someone call Ted Stevens and report this for me. Thanks.

I've watched it a couple of times but really I think there is much better television out there - including Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who.

I think it really tickles the ape-centric area of the brain of conservatives which is why it's so popular with them.

I still want to know how Jack made it back from China
(just kidding)
liked the first season but like the batman movies the show gets sillier and sillier (the ones from the 80/90's not the 2 new ones)

maybe next year they'll all be wearing rubber suits with nipples

If it's the greatest show ever, then why don't these Ć¼ber-fans already possess copies of all available seasons? Commies!

Torture? What about the audience? Jack Bauer's daughter got kidnapped three times in the first season! Nobody can suspend that much disbelief.

Snab – It’s funny because heard he was a somewhat liberal guy, but now he’s a poster boy for the Neos.

Torture does need to stop

Hy – I haven’t watched it all that much, I’m more into fantasy and sci-fi. 24 has been the rallying point for the right but it’s fictional just like their arguments.

Lib – Thanks your very kind!

Rob! – LOL because you like a sure thing!

POP – Scary how effective a simple tv show can be.

Dean – You is right deano! Saturday morning cartoons are even better. Jack Bauer has nothing on sushi pack!

Pidomon – hah hah, I never heard the show summed up so well.

Randal – Now you’re thinkin’ the “right” way!

Dr Zaius – and it all happened in one day!

Alright- Mr. Bee loves him some 24. I watched one season with him and- mehhh. Rather than supporting torture, because I think there's a super hero quality to Jack that makes him seem like an exception, I think there is more so the element of promoting fear that is the propoganda. I mean nuclear bombs smuggled in by terrorists that explode in California has "Homeland Security, Protect Us!" written all over it!
