The Joker Killed Heath?

The early autopsy tests are still inconclusive but one of those “entertainment gurus” went on CNN a little while ago, saying that Heath Ledger wasn’t sleeping very well when he was playing the joker, (he was getting about 2 hours a night) suggesting that’s how he got “hooked” on sleeping pills. The anchor responded that the Joker was such a dark, scary character and being in character for long periods of time must have really taken a toll on his mind.

What the Fuck?

Now Mr. Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker will be that much more eerie because of his death but are these folks on the payroll of WarnerBrothers or something?

I dunno, I think he's probably been addicted to sleeping pills alot longer than that....

I remember he did a celtic-themed mini-series here in the US, while also filming something in Australia, (this was before he was 20 years old I believe).

He talked about in an interview that he would film here, rush back to Australia on weekends, film whatever and fly back. He basically said he got no sleep for like 3-4 months.

So whatever happened, I think it was purely accidental..I think he had bronchitis or something when he died too..may the 2 or 3 things he was taking (Ambien for depression) made a clusterfark reaction, a la River Phoenix.

Damn shame.

I think is death is very sad and entirely senseless.

The Joker had nothing to do with it.

Batman on the other hand...

And I agree this movie is going to be creepy - Brandon Lee creepy - to the point that I may not want to see it now.

Wow, it's amazing the press coverage that he is getting. It's almost like he is as important as Britney Spears!

media = vultures

I guess that article I saw about Ledger saying it was fun to play the Joker will probably be ignored in the media frenzy.

I try to refrain from making judgments until all the facts are in, in this case the autopsy results. And we can never really know what was going on in his head.

News reports are all over the place. I've read in the NY Daily News that he started having problem sleeping after breaking up with Michelle Williams last year and was depressed over the breakup.

Whatever was going on in his mind, whether he accidentally or purposefully took too many pills, whether he was depressed on not, it doesn't really matter. What matters is that he died way too soon and a little 2-year-old girl will never get to really know her father.

LB – Yeah I think it was accidental too.

Dean – well a little less creepy because he wasn’t killed on the set and they didn’t have to edit out his actual death.

Dr. Zaius – imagine that!

Sanb – I’m sure it will. I just hope they don’t cut out too much of his Joker performance.

Shelly – that’s the saddest part of the whole thing. Daddy’s gone and she’ll never get to know him.

Panda – huh? Next as in it’s time to move on?

Randal – too true
