My New Comics

This week’s best cover is Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters #5.

Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash #4, DC Comics/Dynamite Entertainment.

Red Sonja #29, Dynamite Entertainment.

She-Hulk #25, Marvel Comics.

Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters #5, DC Comics.

Marvel Zombies 2 #4, Marvel Comics.

Star Trek: Alien Spot: Borg #1, IDW.

Incidentally Star Trek Year 4 #6 came out this week but I dropped this title. This comic was a huge, boring slog like the Astronaut’s Wife. It’s strange because I’ve been enjoying the Alien Spotlights that IDW has been publishing.

Great cover. Looks like Dick Cheney's dreams.

Yeah, his wet dreams!

What, no Amazing Spiderman New Day or whatever the heck that thing is called?

Fv.J.v.A was okay. It is a strange mix of genres. I wouldn't consider Ash's universe slasher, just straight horror.

Marvel Zombies continues to be pretty good...

Hmmm I would call Ash's genre horror comedy myself.

Zombies had a nice cliffhanger

How is She Hulk doing? John Byrne's "The Sensational She-Hulk" was my favorite comic way back when.

Swine-

I hope this isn't the end for zombies. It looks like they might not leave room for another mini.

That's just if it ends the way it looks like it's going to...

Dr, Zaius – I did a sum up of She-Hulk a year ago (here). Dan Slott just finished an incredibly good run with the character a few months ago; I highly recommend his take on the She-Hulk. Most of it is out in trade paperback. Lots of humor, good stuff.

Peter David has taken over the title for a few issues now and it seem to be more of a serious comic now. We’ll have to see, I don’t like or dislike his work yet, the art is solid though.

Dean – if marvel thinks they can make a buck off another zombies mini it’ll happen
