Now I Know Why Dean Wormer Is Going to Cloverfield

It seems that a new teaser trailer for Star Trek 11 will be shown before Cloverfield. See Here.

Now all Dean has to do is wait until December.

Yeah right!

Just don’t try to freeze yourself like Cartman buddy.

Plus, that's a new “Official” pic up top there. Oh Boy!

The trailer could be the highlight of Cloverfield.

The same director as "Lost" and "Mission: Impossible III" - it can't go wrong!

Wow. Dean would pay $7.50 to see a trailer? I got my SO to watch ST: WOK a couple of weeks ago. It was such a good movie (that ages pretty well) that part of me wishes that it had been the franchise killer.

However bad Cloverfeild ma be, you have to admit its teaser trailer was one of the best.

snab - that's what I was thinking

Dr. Zaius - You're right! Now I have to see it!

arkonbey - WOK is a fun film but a franchise killer? Then we'd have no Data!

as for Cloverfield I actually stopped the trailer out of boredom, maybe it was all the OC-like kids. Seems like its for a younger crowed.

Dr. S - oh NO!!! ahhhhh

Ha!

I'm halfway interested in Cloverfield. It's getting good reviews and I do enjoy me a giant monster movie.

BTW: I'm not a Star Trek nerd, you know. Although the nacelles on that picture look out of proportion and what's with the turbines? And is that earth? EVERYBODY knows the Enterprise was built in the San Francisco Space Docks.

Abrams is killing canon!

WOK was a good movie (great at the time) but it doesn't seem to hold up well. Part of it is probably the pacing is much slower than action movies today and part of is probably us wondering why the hell Mr. Roarke is flying around space without Tatoo.

Swine: Ok, maybe WOK shouldn't have been a franchise-killer, but it should have been the last time Kirk was in space. It was the perfect way to have him retire.

Dean: I still think it holds up well, at the very least as far as the production design. While it used the idea of a 3-dimensional space battle, it is true that after B5 and the new BSG, it seemed to drag a bit.

Dean. Space Docks. SPACE Docks. They are in Space. Get it? What did they do after they built it? Crane it up into space? Just because they are the San Francisco space docks doesn't mean they can't be in space. Where SPACE docks usually are.

Never give up. Never surrender. I'm still waiting for Galaxy Quest II.

Dean – Yes Dean, you are a Star Trek Nerd. You have to learn to accept this about yourself.

Arkonbey – I agree that it was a good ending to Kirk’s Career in Star Fleet, but... then what were the fanboys, like Dean, gonna do?

WOK is like a WWII capital ship combat.

OD – Makes sense

Panda – a man after my own heart.
