after seeing that 'what the frak' sum up, I am REALLY glad I never watched this.
wow.
i managed to record the whole week's marathon, and watching-wise i'm somewhere in the middle of season 2.
i plan to go on a BSG orgy (one that, sadly, only includes Tricia Helfer via TV screen) this weekend and get as caught up as possible, so i can start watching the season 4 shows as they air.
Then after this final season comes the long LONG wait for the full series set on DVD.....
Did you skip work to see the early premiere of it at noon online?
Dean – I did think that BSG did get a little too emo in the 3rd season. But I hope it goes out well.

Doc S – heh heh, granted an 8-minute sum up couldn’t really do the three seasons and a mini-series justice but what was it that bothered you? You might give the mini-series a chance.

like i said earlier, just that (IMO) most original stuff generated on Sci-Fi is crap.
plus, i was never a fan of the original show, so i didn't see what was to be gained from re-doing it. little did i know that they were taking the central (solid) premise, and then doing their own thing with it.
its weird, because, as a fan of other things, if someone did this to, say, Aquaman, i'd be pissed off. but because i have zero attachment to the original BSG, i had no problem with all the drastic changes they made for the new version.
There is huge animosity between the old and new fans...

I think that the Sci-Fi Channel should make a series about Mansquito.
I can't wait till they get motorcycle spaceships and travel back in time to the eighties!
